I created the Gitpod Flex Design System to transform how our team designed and built products. By thoughtfully aligning Figma components with Tailwind CSS utility classes, we bridged the gap between design and development, significantly reducing implementation time. The system's intuitive structure enabled not just designers, but product managers and engineers to quickly create high-fidelity mockups. This democratization of design tools accelerated our product development process and improved cross-team collaboration, while maintaining consistent user experiences across Gitpod's products.
